Better Health for All (BEHFA) is a Cameroonian non-profit, apolitical, community-based organization dedicated to advancing health equity and sustainable wellness. We empower women, adolescent girls, and vulnerable populations by providing education, health screenings, psychosocial support, and programs that promote healthier, and safer lives.
Our work focuses on raising awareness and preventing priority non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and cancers, fostering sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and supporting economic empowerment initiatives. By bringing health solutions and dignity closer to communities, BEHFA contributes to reducing the disease burden and improving wellbeing both locally and nationally. We are based in Bafoussam, West Region, Cameroon, where we strive to create healthier, safer, and more empowered communities.

A healthy and empowered community with equal access to opportunities for sustainable human development.
Love, Dedication, Accountability, and Innovation (LODAI)
Since 2019, BEHFA has reached over 8,800 + beneficiaries across five divisions in the West, Littoral, and Northwest regions, as well as beneficiaries from the Southwest region. In the next five years, we plan to expand to additional communities within the West Region and other regions of Cameroon, ensuring more vulnerable populations benefit from integrated health, gender, and economic development initiatives.
Better Health for All (BEHFA) was founded in January 2019 by a group of young Cameroonians committed to addressing health inequities affecting vulnerable communities, particularly women and girls. The organization was established to promote health education, preventive services, and economic opportunities that empower communities to take charge of their own wellbeing.
BEHFA officially obtained legal recognition on 13 May 2019. Its governance and strategic vision were further strengthened in November 2020, and in November 2022, the Constituent General Assembly approved BEHFA’s transition to Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) status, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable community development and impact.
Guided by the principles of Love, Dedication, Accountability, and Innovation (LODAI), BEHFA continues to expand its impact through community-centred and sustainable interventions across Cameroon.
Since 2019, Better Health For All (BEHFA) has directly impacted over 8,800+ beneficiaries across Cameroon through inclusive, community-driven interventions focused on health equity, gender equality, youth empowerment, and economic resilience — with particular attention to women, internally displaced persons (IDPs), youth, and other vulnerable populations.
Health Promotion & NCD Prevention
We have reached over 3,000 individuals through preventive healthcare, community sensitization, Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) awareness, screenings, psychosocial support, and referrals — strengthening community resilience and promoting healthier lifestyles.
SRHR, GBV Prevention & Youth Leadership
Through integrated programming on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention, and youth leadership, we have empowered more than 4,500 girls, women, youth, men, and boys with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make informed decisions and drive positive social change.
Economic Empowerment & Community Resilience
By supporting entrepreneurship, financial literacy, savings initiatives, and income-generating activities, we have strengthened the livelihoods of over 1,300 beneficiaries, increasing financial autonomy and long-term community resilience.
Together, these achievements reflect BEHFA’s commitment to delivering sustainable, locally driven solutions that advance dignity, inclusion, and opportunity for underserved communities across Cameroon.
