SUMMARY:Digital Security & Safe Advocacy (SHIELD Project)
DESCRIPTION:Through the SHIELD Project Cameroon implemented by Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Centre (HURAC)\, we participated in capacity-building trainings in Bafoussam (January 5–15\, 2026) focused on digital security\, risk management\, physical protection\, and gender-sensitive advocacy. Outcome: Strengthened ability to identify and respond to digital threats\, protect sensitive data\, assess risks\, and apply safe “Do No Harm” advocacy practices\, enhancing the protection of Human Rights Defenders and the communities we serve.

DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, 20 November 2025\, the Gov-GENder Project needs assessment team carried out an official visit to BEHFA CBO to assess the organization’s needs and identify key gaps that require strengthening\, particularly in governance and leadership structures.\nThe visit provided an opportunity for both teams to better understand institutional priorities and to support the improvement of organizational capacity for effective project implementation. BEHFA CBO extends its appreciation to the Gov-GENder Project for its continued collaboration and commitment to strengthening community-based leadership and governance system.

DESCRIPTION:On February 13–14\, 2025\, we participated in a 2-day Gender-Based Violence (GBV) training at the Women’s Center of the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family (MINPROFF) in Bafoussam\, facilitated by LUKMEF. The training covered key GBV thematic areas\, including Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and survivor-centered care for service providers.
